Found in Middlesex Road, Surrey Hills, VIC in 2022. Possibly an Australian hardwood given the street trees in Middlesex road. It is hard enough to be a hard eucalypt eg grey or yellow box, or an ironbark but identification with bark or leaves is very difficult.
Rough turned in 2022 but left to reduce moisture content until finally turned and polished in November 2026. Polished with a carnauba abrasive wax abrasive paste followed by a liquid polish of carnauba wax and tung oil.
Measures 235mm x 85mm
