I have made a number of chess sets comprising pieces, board and storage box. All have been made from recycled timber, mostly Australian hardwoods, salvaged from old side fence posts, fallen trees or discarded furniture.
This section has two components:
1. A ‘gallery’ of sets I have made; and
2. A description of the processes I use to make a complete chess set.
